I had a catch up...

I had a catch up with some beautiful friends a few days ago and we where talking about life, motherhood, birth, sex, news and dreams. And we landed on the topic of the morning sickness in the early stages of pregnancy. How debilitating it can be. How tiring it can be. How life changing it can be. Specially when you have more children to take care of so resting is not necessarily an easy thing to do. But then we talked about Hypermesis. In case you don’t know what that is, is like morning sickness but ramped up to a million. Actually life impending sickness. And sometimes it stays a few months, others it stays through out ALL pregnancy. I know right!!?? Not cool. I feel so sorry for women who go through this. But this got me thinking... I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to care for your other children under this circumstances. I mean you have cero energy because you can hardly stomach any food or drinks, so you’re running on NADA! Even if you didn’t have any children to care for, it still sucks ! So, shouldn’t we be able to support a mumma through this the same way we support them through birth and their postpartum journeys? Shouldn’t we be able to offer the same care that we do then, like when she needs when actually growing this human in her body? I think we should. Looking after each other has so many faces. There’s so many opportunities. A village, a tribe, a sisterhood of support has no limits. Has no beginning and no end. We must hold each other always, no matter when in need. I want women to reach out to me knowing that they can find my support anytime. Always. I want to provide to them what I would love to have for me. Like when we say “don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want done to you”... this works the same around. Support is support. It can’t be offered only sometimes. It has to be something we breath, something we ARE. I say, “Women you are magical and powerful” And I mean it 🌱 • • • Photo from our gathering with sisters as we celebrated 𝐼𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓃𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝒶𝓁 𝒲𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃’𝓈 𝒟𝒶𝓎 📸@kate_randall_photography. • • • Next event 𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓼𝓸𝓵𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓬𝓮 Check bio for details.
